Account deletion
You can delete your account in Would You Rather? (Шта би радије?; developer: toleapps) in the app or by email. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open the game and, on the Home screen, tap the account icon at the top right.
- On the Account screen (Налог), tap the "i" icon at the top.
- At the bottom of the About screen (О игри), tap Delete account (Обриши налог) and confirm with Delete (Обриши).
The account is deleted at once, on every device, and on the device you delete it from the game carries on as a new guest. This deletes a guest and an account alike, whether it has a username or is linked to Google Play Games.
A guest you log in to another account from, on some device, stays a player of its own and is not deleted with that account. If you do not want it to stay, delete it in the app before you log in.
By email, without the app
Email application.eili@gmail.com with the subject "Account deletion" and the account's username or its account id. A guest has an account id too, as does an account signed in only with Google Play Games: in the game it is on the About screen (the Account screen, then the "i" icon at the top), under Account ID (ИД налога), where one tap copies it. We will delete the account within 30 days at the latest and let you know when we have. We will never ask for your password.
If you no longer have the app and the account has no username, we may not be able to find it. Such a guest is not kept for ever, though: no device leads to it any more, so the server deletes it after 90 days of inactivity.
What is deleted
- the player and its id, the username and the password hash, points and stats;
- every session, so you are logged out on every device;
- answers, with their times, skipped questions and reactions, so the counts on questions no longer include them; every like you gave is taken back, along with the point it earned the question's author;
- questions waiting for review and rejected questions, with their reasons;
- reports of questions, and hidden questions and authors;
- purchases in the shop;
- notification tokens and the link to Google Play Games.
What stays
- Approved questions, including those taken out of the game, stay in the game without an author: nothing in the database links them to you any more. Other players' answers and reactions to them stay, and players who hid you as an author still do not see them, without learning who you are.
- Analytics: events already sent to PostHog stay tied to the device's random id and, if you registered or logged in, to your player id, which after the deletion names nobody in our database. They are deleted two years after they were sent at the latest.
- Server logs, which may hold your player id, and database backups, if any, until they expire, 30 days at most.
- Data the law requires us to keep, only for as long as it requires.
Removing the app from a device does not by itself delete the account.
